With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William E. Walters of Newark, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William E. left this world on February 11, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil C. Walters and Catherine Walters (Fry); his siblings, Lucille, Margaret Sunkle (Richard), Mary Ison, David and Harold; and his grandson Jason Lease.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Walters (Emch); his daughters, Kimberly Walters, Jeanette Lease (Dale), Jamie Stafford (Bob), Diannalynn Showman, Nicole Walters Rouanzoin (Galen), Evelyn Walters, Connie Crawmer (Doug) and Ruby Smith (Ed); his son-in-law Brett Showman; and his siblings, Cecil L. Walters (Marie) and Clara Mae Bricker. He is also survived by 13 grandsons; 8 granddaughters; many great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, life-long companions and his music friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service (59 N 5th St, Newark, OH 43055).
