She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Newlun and Bessie Newlun (Moore); her husband Richard Cohagen; her sons, Jay and Pat Cohagen; her brothers, Gene, Pete and Gordon Newlun; her great grandchild Denver Dunavant; her son-in-law Jim Dowell; and her close friend Harold "Buck" Michaels.
She is survived by: her children, Hannah Lehman (Robert), Terri Dowell, Richard "Mike" Cohagen, Fred Cohagen (Kim) and Chris Cohagen (Lori); her grandchildren, Angie Foor (Dale), Jennifer Beeson, Shelly Cohagen, Candi Bagheri (Mo), Nicki Martin (Jeff), Cheyenne Dunavant (Shawn), Jason Sayre, Sarah Flikens, Jimmy Dowell (Courtney), Jeremy Dowell (Chad), Kristi Cohagen, Mike Cohagen, Chad Cohagen (Mary), Jacob Cohagen (Jennifer), Christopher Cohagen (Emily) and Carissa Cohagen; and her sister Pauline Short. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service (179 Granville St, Newark, OH 43055). A prayer will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (66 Granville St, Newark, OH 43055).
