It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Johns Carter of Newark, Ohio, born in Bellaire, Ohio, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Camelo and Solina Camelo Plummer (Susi); her former husband Robert Johns; her husband Ernie Carter; and her daughter Jacqueline Marie Johns.
She is survived by: her sons, Paul Johns (JoEllen), Robert "Jerry" Johns (Angela) and Anthony Johns; her sisters, Linda Camelo and Christine Reid (Scott); her sister-in-law Patricia Plummer; and her stepbrother Bruce Plummer. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
