He is survived by: his wife Nancy Mary Battat (Noll); his children, Jennifer Battat, John Battat (Brian Lamkin) and Julie Rinderle; and his grandchildren, Monica Matheson (Joshua) and Christopher Rinderle.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Rick's name be made to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 45 Granville, Street, Newark, Ohio 43055.
