She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Riley, Sr. and Marie Riley (Galleroy); her husband Albert M. Puryear; her children, Andrew Puryear and Dorothy Marie; her son-in-law Nicholas Wells; and her siblings, Mary Jefferson, Mother Lula Packer, Leslie Riley and Deacon Percy Riley.
She is survived by: her daughter Marilyn "Ann" Puryear; her grandchildren, Reecior Denae Brooks, Nicholas M. Wells, Jeremy M. Puryear (Joann), Ebony Wells (Marlo Shaw) and Andrea Puryear; her daughter-in-law Diane Puryear; and her siblings, Bishop Richard Riley, Jr., Agnes Kirskey, Betty Sims and Evangelist Shirley Hall. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home (179 Granville St, Newark, OH 43055). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Rock House (219 E Main St, Newark, OH 43055).
