He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Oberfield and Agnes Oberfield (Murphy); his son Lewis "Lewie" Oberfield; and his siblings, Richard, Joseph, James, Bernard Oberfield, Rita Smith (Barney), Ruth Dittoe (Don) and Mary Deardurff (Jack).
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Oberfield (Van Arsdale); his children, Connie Noth (Bob), Andy Oberfield, Julie Spisak and Susie Oberfield; his grandchildren, Allison Reeves (Steven), Lindsey Hornbacher (Adam), Samantha, Nate, Zach Noth, Sabrina, Sophie and Simon Spisak; his great grandchildren, Theo and Annika; and his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Oberfield, Dorothy Oberfield and Rose Ann Oberfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Jack's name to the Newark Catholic High School Foundation, 1 Green Wave Drive, Newark, Ohio 43055.
