She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva Curnutte and Dove Curnutte (Castle); her husband David F. Shama; her son Gregory Hoppenstand; her grandson Nicholas Adams; and her siblings, Robert Curnutte (Alice), David Curnutte (Mary), Charles Curnutte (Alice), Virginia Daniels (Elon) and Ruth Watson (Tom).
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Adams (Craig McGinnis), David Hoppenstand (Connie) and Davida Frick (Shawn); and her grandchildren, Jennifer Carducci (DJ), John Hoppenstand, Turner Hoppenstand and Kaitlyn Hoppenstand. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
