She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Malherbe and Sarah Malherbe (James); and her siblings, John, Charles, Elton, Timothy Malherbe, Bobby James, Donna Jenkins (Ralph), Rosemary Agin and Wilma Phillips (Richard).
She is survived by: her husband Roland "Ron" Murphy; her sons, Ken Monroe (Sheri) of Newark and David Monroe (Karla Portier) of Myrtle Beach, SC; her stepchildren, Ronald Murphy (Susan) of Glenford, Mari Lovar (Steve) of Newark and Tammie Hale (Mark) of Newark; her siblings, Richard Malherbe (Leota) and Myra Chaney-Doles (Keith); and her siblings-in-law, Karen Malherbe and Leo Agin. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
