He is survived by: his parents, Joe Gilkey and Elizabeth Gilkey (Ferren); his wife Kayla; his children, Liam and Ava Gilkey; his pets, Mazie and Kitten; his sister Maggie Gilkey; his parents-in-law, Douglas and Debra Ward; his siblings-in-law, Deisa Woolum (Greg) and Jared Ward (Taylor); and his nieces and nephews, Zella, Lydia Woolum, Bo and Indie Ward. He is also survived by extended family and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home (985 N 21st St, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
