She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond F. Compton and Bonetta G. Compton (Dugan); her husband Avery "Duke" Ball; and her siblings, Raymond F. Compton, Jr., Elsie V. Bevard, Sally G. Garven and Bonnie Jean Compton.

She is survived by: her brother Jim I. Compton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home (985 N 21st St, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
