He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Burchard and Anna Mae Burchard (Spurrier); his wife Mary Lou Burchard (Porter); his son Earl A.; his daughter-in-law Chris Burchard; and his siblings, Shelton Burchard, Harley Burchard, Mildred Burchard and Anna Mae Burchard.
He is survived by: his children, Carl Lee Burchard (Anita), Mark Mason Burchard, Richard Allen "Rick" Burchard (Brenda), Johanna Scanlon, Chester Scanlon (Jenny Harris), Anna Sothen (Bobby) and Maria Robertson (Keith); his stepchildren, Mary Juanita Pethtel (Charles), Rosella Peck (Richard), Daniel Scanlon (Sherril) and Stella Cockrell (John Robertson); his siblings, Bill Burchard, Lucille Corder and Mary Whittington; and his sister-in-law Sally Porter. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service (179 Granville St, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
