He is survived by: his wife Mary Cecelia Elam; his children, Helen Morris (Eric), Anita Nethers (Larry) and Chip Elam (Carmen); his grandchildren, Michael Beccera (Michael), Kristen Pell, Trent Thacker (Blaine), Taryn Thacker, Courtney Nethers, Laura Thacker (Cody), Morgan Nethers, Leah Nethers, Rachel Elam, Garrett Elam, Jacob Elam, Lorenzo Elam and Sofia Elam; his great grandchildren, Simon, Cece, Tyson and Navy; and his brother Michael "Mickey" Elam (Sharon).
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service (59 N 5th St, Newark, OH 43055). A vigil service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church (394 E Main St, Newark, OH 43055).
