She was predeceased by: her parents, Loma Opal Fluharty (Fetty) and Hugh "Ted" Fluharty; her husband Richard "Dick" E. Thompson; her daughter Stardis K. Hullhorst; and her siblings, Doris Ward, Fran Green and Teddy Fluharty.
She is survived by: her children, Windy Murphy (Pat) and Rob Thompson (Chanda Ward); her grandchildren, Rich Thompson (Robyn Caldwell), Brandon Thompson (Scarlette), Jennifer Lee (Chris), Kayleigh, Kariann Thompson, Bradley Hullhorst (Jennifer), Nicholas Hullhorst (Allison), A. J. Murphy (Jesse Lemay) and Landon Murphy; her close friend Sassy; and her nephew Rick Green. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
