He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Thomas and Genevieve Young Scanlon; his siblings, Maurice Thomas Scanlon, Jr., Genevieve Louise McCutcheon, Mary Elizabeth Beem of Pataskala and Gwendolyn Ramsey of Utica; and his half-sister Emma Margaret Lake.
He is survived by: his sons, Bruce Eugene (Beth) and Matthew Lee Scanlon (Taya); his grandchildren, Maria, Rayna and Anaya; and his siblings, Patricia Martin of Newark, Maureen Christina York of Newark and Neal Patrick Scanlon of Newark. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
