She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Roberts and Anna Bertha Roberts (Lowery); her husband Richard "Dick" Helphrey; her daughters, Patti Jeanne Dawson and Gloria Kay Long; and her son-in-law Richard L. Long.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jennifer Bauer (Chuck) of Baltimore and Jeremy Shields of Avon. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
