She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Scheffler and Bertha Scheffler (Leonberger); her son Allan W. Loy; her son-in-law Tom Burger; her grandson Jack Thompson II; her brothers, Wayne Scheffler (Betty) and Milton Scheffler; and her brothers-in-law, Myron Ross, Calvin Loy (Doris) and Donald Loy (Esther).
She is survived by: her husband Wilmer Loy; her children, Carol Thompson (Jack), Martha "Marty" Burger, Marlene Karl (Steve), Diana Loy (Carl Dentinger), Sandra Kaple (Mike) and Phil Loy (Shelli); her grandchildren, Angie Chaffins (Shannon), Kendra Studer (Brad), Ryan Burger (Carly), Chad Burger (Ashley), Scott Burger (Emily), Jeremy Karl (Lorraine), Nicole Hanlon (Kris), Liza Hafner (Chris), Brandon Kaple (Jocelyn), Nathan Kaple (Kim), Brad Kaple (Brittany), Kristin Clune (Keith), Grant Loy (Olivia Knapp) and Max Loy (Madi Cooke); her sister Helen Ross; and her sister-in-law Julia Scheffler. She is also survived by 36 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (203 E Mansfield St, New Washington, OH 44854). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or Chatfield Volunteer Fire Department.
