He was predeceased by: his parents, Clemence B. Bishop and Frances Bishop (Hoehn); his son Brett Bishop; his sisters, Alice Decker (Clem) and Janice Krupp (Tom); and his brother-in-law Dudley Arnold.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Bishop (Hiler); his children, Deb Thurner (Andy), Mark Bishop (Kim) and April Barker (Paul); his grandchildren, Amanda Meadows (Steven), Morgan Meadows-Reed (Mark), Carter Bishop and Grant Bishop (Emily); his great grandchild Emmy Meadows; his siblings, Larry Bishop (Velma), Doris Arnold and Shirley Burkin (Leroy); and his brother-in-law Gene Hiler (Teresa). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Bernard Catholic Church.
