He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Shell and Viola Shell (Cramer); his son Roger 'Rog Shell of North Auburn; his brothers, Eugene 'Nip Shell and Melvin 'Buck Shell; and his parents-in-law, Tayna Shell, Darlene Shell and Custer Crace.
He is survived by: his child Sorrows Capel; his wife Alice Shell (Wise); his children, Deb Heydinger (Ned) of North Auburn, Angie Trapp (Darren) of North Auburn, Lisa Biglin (Tom) of North Auburn and Dan Shell of Leesville, Ohio; his grandchildren, Shelbi Strain (Josh) of North Auburn, Eric of North Auburn, Scott Heydinger of North Auburn, Chadd of North Auburn, Tyler Trapp of North Auburn, Alli of North Auburn, Lexi of North Auburn, Cory Biglin of North Auburn and Jordan Shell (Natalie Sayre) of Crestline, Ohio; his siblings, Allison 'Tub' Shell (Susan), Carolyn 'Toots' Watson (Terry) and Patti Crace; and his sister-in-law Judy Shell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Washington Little League in care of Secor Funeral Home.
