He was predeceased by: his father Ira Shade; his wife Mary Ellen Shade (Buchanan); and his siblings, Paul Shade and Mary Deacon. He is survived by: his children, Linda Weinberger (Paul) of Johnstown, Ohio and James Shade (Melissa) of New Washington, Ohio; his grandchildren, Amanda Selvey (Adam), Isaac Erckert (Lauren Webster), Laura Erckert, Adam Erckert, Tyler Shade and Jacob Shade; and his great grandchild Seif Selvey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
