He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse H. Riedel and Minnie Riedel (Magsig); his wife Norma D. Riedel; and his siblings, Gerald Riedel, Wayne Riedel, Calmer (Calvin Riedel) and Robert Riedel (Jeanette Naufzinger).
He is survived by: his children, Holly Cronau (Jefferson) of Port Clinton, Ohio and Douglas Riedel (Tonya) of Powell, Ohio; his grandchildren, Justin Cronau (Rachel), Jessica Reece (Jonathan), Luke Riedel and Olivia Riedel; his sister Virginia Meister; and his sisters-in-law, Charlene Deane and Donna Deane. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
