He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Simon and Irma Carol Penwell Long; his grandson Donald Ison IV; and his pet Bucky. He is survived by: his wife Joni Kubler Long; his daughters, Beth Skaggs (Chris) of Martinsville and Emily Blum (Grant Edward) of Circleville; his grandchildren, Ruby, Dexter Ison, Harper Annette Dalton, Ivy Willow Blum and Abby Hays; his stepgrandchildren, Izabela and Malakai Skaggs; his sisters, Kimberly Hatten of Sabina and Bobbi Long of Wilmington; his nephew Michael Hatten of Sabina; and his pets, Patches and Tibbs.
Memorial donations would be appreciated to the Clinton Country Humane Society, Dayton Children's Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.
