He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Franklin and Marilee Schutte (Palmer); his son Richard A. Schutte; and his sisters, Jaclyn Matthers and MaryAnn Schutte.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Schutte (Valerie) of New Vienna, John A. Schutte of Blanchester, Jim Schutte (Susan) of Wilmington, Linda Ruble (Dean) of New Vienna and Joseph R. Schutte, Jr. of New Vienna; and his brother Roger Schutte of Springfield. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren.
