We are sad to announce that on January 21, 2022, at the age of 72, John Lee Ballein of New Vienna, Ohio, born in Hillsboro, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Ballein and Martha Ballein (Taylor); his son Tom Ballein; and his siblings, Howard, Barb, Mary, Donald, Kenny and Hugh.

He is survived by: his wife Loretta Ballein (Sluss); his children, Johnny Ballein (Robin) of Mowrystown, Andrea Claycomb (Mark Conover), Chad Sluss (Melissa) of Lowell, Corey Ballein (Amanda) of Lynchburg, Brian Ballein (Cassi) of Hillsboro and Tim Ballein of New Vienna; and his daughter-in-law Dana Ballein of Washington, C. H.. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren; several siblings.
