He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Clifton and Mabel Stoops (Spurlock); his son Michael Jerome "Jerry" Stoops; and his siblings, Mary Diebert, Lenore Davis, Robert Stoops, James Stoops, Edward Stoops and Earl Stoops Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Ollie Stoops; his children, Rebecca Hall (Brian) of New Vienna, Cindy Jo Cunningham (Frank) of New Vienna and Everett I. "Butch" Stoops (Peggy) of Jamestown; his grandchildren, Jeff Puckett, Craig Hall, Jonathan Cunningham (Mary), Nicholas Stoops, Kyle Hall, Jessica Hidy (Jeremy), Megan Hall, Elizabeth Knisley (Jason) and Caitlin Sanfrey (Dylan); his great grandchildren, Kylee Hidy, Myha Pierce, Madison Stoops, Logan Stoops, Alanna Puckett, Abby Puckett, Jonny Cunningham, Addelyn Stoops, Madelyn Puckett and Jacob Cunningham; and his siblings, Ruth Ann Kern of Sabina and David Stoops of Las Vegas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Everett's name to the Marshall Church of Christ, 10611 State Route 124.
