He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Eugene Sexton and Viola Nichols Sexton; his siblings, Carl Sexton, Jeffrey Sexton, Marilyn Sexton, Tina Sexton and Theresa Corrill; and his in-laws, Gene and Janet Cox.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Jo Sexton (Cox); and his children, Brittnie Thomas (Paul), Danielle Rowley (Shawn Hartley) and Joshua Littler.
