He was predeceased by: his parents, James Best, Sr. and Alberta Mikesell Barrett; his siblings, Doreen Leach and Jerry; and his parents-in-law, Denis and Doris Crum.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his brothers, James Jr. (Sandy), Tom (Sue), Dan (Sue) and Joe; and his brother-in-law Don Feren (Denise). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
