He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Schaefer and Margaret Audrey Schaefer (Herman); and his brother Ed Schaefer. He is survived by: his sons, Scott Schaefer (Jan) of Homeworth, OH and Eric Schaefer (Mary Garchar) of Ellsworth; his grandchildren, Dylan and Kendall Schaefer; his stepgrandsons, Broc and Webb (Martha Schaefer) of Montana; and his brother Charles 'Chuck Schaefer of Columbiana.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that material tributes may be made to the New Springfield Church of God Mortgage Fund, 3649 E. Garfield Rd., New Springfield, OH 44443.
