He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peg" Sloma; his children, Michael Schalk (Kristen Lindsay) of Fremont, Joseph Schalk (Janice) of Bluffton, William Schalk (Darcie) of Plain City, Michelle Calabia (Alvaro) of Derwood and Anita Swartz (Bradley) of Caseyville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Gregory Schalk, Alvaro Calabia, Anna Calabia, Helena Calabia, Brynn Schalk, Jessa Schalk, Tonia Swartz, Krysta Swartz, Alicia Swartz, Cal Swartz, Sadie Schalk, Sydney Schalk and Bo Schalk; and his siblings, Carl Schalk (Carolyn) of New Riegel, John Schalk (Jeanne) of Fostoria and Ann Foos (Mark) of Helena.

Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay respects, and exit without lingering.
