She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Mason Smith and Carolyn Patterson Smith; her in-laws, John and Anna Dickson (Newton); her brother James Christopher Carter; her brother-in-law Mark Dickson; and her nephews, Kevin and Justin Dickson.
She is survived by: her husband Howard J. Dickson; her children, Ryan Dickson (Kyle Lea), Christa Dickson (Aaron Hilson) and Jess Swafford-Dickson; her grandchildren, Jonny and Kennedy Lynn Volk; her siblings, Tia Kegler (Todd), J. Todd Carter and Howard Carter (Heather); and her siblings-in-law, Steven, Charles (Rhonda), Don, Paul Dickson (Toni), Johnette Dickson, Kathy Kelly and Everne Sellers. She is also survived by many cousins, great nieces, nephews.
