He was predeceased by : his parents, Ida Bessie Arnold Long and John P. Long Sr. Prior. He is survived by : his wife Shirley A. Long; his children, John A. Long (Linda), Michael P. Long (Lisa) and Cheryl A. Peters (Lonnie); his grandchildren, Holly, April, McKenzie, Veronica, Alexandra and Nathaniel; his great grandchildren, Dylan, Cassidy and Cyrus; and his sister Carolyn Causey.
