It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Joseph Jr. (New Richmond, Ohio), born in Cincinnati, Ohio, who passed away on May 31, 2018, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent George J. Colonel, Sr.; and his grandparents, Alma Colonel, George Wehmann and Pauline Wehmann. He is survived by: his parent Anita Wehmann Colonel of Union Township; his spouse Katie O'Brien; his children, Emily Colonel, Nicole Colonel and Joseph Colonel; his siblings, Gwen Colonel, Justina McKinley (Ralph), Beth Hucker (Rick) and Lee Brueggeman (Chuck); and his parents-in-law, Gene O'Brien and Judy O'Brien. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in George's honor to the Monroe Elementary Scholarship, which is awarded yearly to a New Richmond Graduate who attended Monroe Elementary.
