He was predeceased by: his parents, Rothbe F. Carpenter and Sylvia Walkenswanz Carpenter; his wife Agnes Willingham Carpenter; and his sister Anna Mae Carpenter. He is survived by: his sister Nancy Truman (Leroy) of Chillicothe.
