He was predeceased by: his parents, Rozelle F. Gee Thacker (Willard) and Bain Perkins; his wife Helen Marie McClaskey Perkins; his daughter Betty Jane Graves; his close friend Betty Jo Prater; and his siblings, Eugene Thacker, Shirley Strawser and Carolyn Boyer.
He is survived by: his children, Leonard Emmett Perkins Jr. of Florida, Deborah Perkins (Rich Walker) of Florida, Teresa Stevens (Everett) of Florida, Sandra Perkins of New Plymouth, Brenda Butcher (Kenneth) of Jackson and Lisa Bentley (Mark) of Creola; and his brother Rick Thacker (Lila) of Wellston. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
