She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Pifer and Virginia Pifer (McKenzie); her husband Col. Bernard Benton; her son Jeffry L. Benton; her granddaughter Natalie Rubeck; and her siblings, Howard Pifer and Doris Dick.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Kemp (Terry) of Raymond, Joyce Rubeck (Robert) of Lorain and Jennifer Cookson (Michael) of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Justin Rubeck, Ashton Rubeck, Ryan Cookson, Ashley Zeigler and Matthew Cookson; and her great grandchildren, Isabella Petkovski, Alexandar Petkovski, Max Zeigler, Lily Zeigler, Nathan Zeigler, James Cookson and Daniel Cookson. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
