We are sad to announce that on August 29, 2024, at the age of 89, Roy D. Scott of New Philadelphia, Ohio, born in Deersville, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Loris Scott and Louella Frances Scott (Rose); his former wife Mary Ella Murphy; and his son James Scott. He is survived by: his children, Carole "Vonne" Cahaney (Tom), Jeffrey Scott and Melinda Maxwell (Brian); his wife Cindy; his grandchildren, Corrie Johnson (Cahaney), Scott Cahaney, Brock Maxwell, Brent Scott, Jillian Divan (Cahaney), Brandon Scott, Lauren Scott, Bradley Scott, Paige Randolph (Maxwell) and Cody Scott; and his siblings, Mary, Ann, Bill and Bob. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; many cherished nieces and nephews; and a host of dear friends.
