He was predeceased by: his father Richard Lee Stephenson; and his sister Donna Wesley Stephenson Berndt. He is survived by: his mother Virginia Warther Stephenson; his wife Sally Hawk Stephenson; his children, John Hamilton Stephenson II (Mollie E. Stephenson) and Sarah Elizabeth Frutchey (Samuel W. Frutchey); his grandchildren, Blair Wesley Stephenson, Evelyn Marie Stephenson, Warren Lee Stephenson and Bray Edward Stephenson; and his sisters, Ann Wesley Stephenson (Eric D. Kimple), Carol Wesley Stephenson and Elizabeth Wesley Stephenson (Paul W. McEwan). He is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews.
