He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Goudy Sr. and Thelma Smith Goudy; and his brothers, Gary Powell, Victor and Dale Goudy.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Stein Powell; his children, Kerry Powell and Shawn Powell of Florida; his grandchildren, Brett, Kyle and Megan; his great grandchildren, Corey and Sabastian; and his sisters, Jo Ann Thomas of West Virginia, Joyce Calhoun of Maryland and Cathy Harman of Sardis, Ohio..
