He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Zavasky and Julia Zavasky (Kacsmarek); his sons, Andrew and David; and his pet George.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Zavasky (McWilliams); his children, Jaccie Samu (Attila) of Damascus, Paul Zavasky (Calista) of New Philadelphia and Cara Kohler (Mike) of Dennison; his grandchildren, Rick Samu (Marisa Del Corso), Jocelynne Samu-Pittard (Taylor), Tracy Zavasky (Dustin Nugent) and Carrie Ann Best (Patrick); his great grandchildren, Elena, Matthew, Lily, Serenity and Bradley; and his sister Irene Dietrich.
