He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Evans; his son Joseph P. Evans II; and his brother Patrick Evans. He is survived by: his mother Norma Jean Foster Evans of Massillon; his wife Mary Reynolds Evans; his children, Kimberly Perry (Duane) of North Lawrence and Travis Evans of Massillon; and his granddaughter Taylor Ann Perry.
