She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wesley and Betty Jane Garner (Thompson). She is survived by: her husband George LaPorte "Skip" Smythe, II; her daughters, Marci Sanford (Richard) and Angela Smythe-Riker; her granddaughters, Sydney Yoss (Wyatt) and Sophia Riker; her great grandchild Elliot Yoss; her siblings, Dwight Garner (Rodney Davidson), Debbie Dillon and Bruce Garner (Linda); her godmother Bertha Bonanno; and her friends, Sally Jo Rehard and Linda Cromley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
