She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay D. Slates and Iva L. Slates (Kirby); and her sisters, Doris Ann Schrickel and Linda Mouser. She is survived by: her children, Lori Payne of Carrollton and Brad Clendening (Peggy) of Tipp City; and her grandchildren, Carrie and Jason Clendening.
