He was predeceased by: his father Jerre Truett; his brother Jerre "Brad" Truett; and his stepfather Jack Vogt. He is survived by: his mother Dortha Hendersen Truett-Vogt of California; his wife Cheryle Rentz; his daughters, Jennifer Roneker of Uniontown, Jessi Butchko (Brandon) of Canton and Shannon Truett (Aaron Andrach) of Florida; his stepsons, Jacob Showalter of Navarre and Sean Showalter of New Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Clayton, Lily, John, Owen, Parker, Kaiden and Colten; his sisters, Linda Pappas of Canton and Kelly Truett of California; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Truett of North Canton.
