He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Eugene Beitzel and Erma Augusta Gerber (Grimm); his stepfather Arlos "Bud" Gerber; his son Brett Beitzel; his siblings, Claudia Gerber, Marlene Butler and Paul Beitzel; and his great grandchild Jesse Brock.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Beitzel (Packer); his daughter Natalie Sue Beitzel of New Philadelphia; his stepchildren, Raye Lynne Gerber (Steve) of Dublin, Ohio and Jim Brock of New Philadelphia; and his brothers, John Beitzel (Donna) of New Philadelphia and Wilford Beitzel of New Philadelphia. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
