It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathryn Amelia Johnson Heldt of New Philadelphia, Ohio, born in Tuscarawas, Ohio, who passed away on April 7, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Frederick and Nora Pearl Johnson (Metzger); her husband Clarence Philip "Putt" Heldt; her sisters, Dorothy and Marjorie Johnson; her grandchildren, Joshua and Olivia Feickert; and her siblings, Evelyn Klaserner, Eleanor Burmich, Harold Metzger, Stanley Johnson and Dale Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Kopp (Dennis) of New Philadelphia, Lisa McCarthy of Key West, Heidi Briggs (Robert) of New Philadelphia and Jennifer Feickert (Paul) of New Philadelphia; her siblings, Earl Johnson of Dover and Ila Altier of New Philadelphia; and her sister-in-law Patricia Heldt of Wainwright. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Safety precautions will be taken and the 6-foot rule will be honored and all guests are required to wear a mask to enter the funeral home.
