She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur D. Hootman and Elreta K. Hootman (Sergent); her daughter Lori Krebs; and her brother Sam Hootman. She is survived by: her son James "Jim" Krebs (Jody) of Lynn Haven, Florida; her brothers, Phillip Hootman (Valerie) and Larry Hootman (Ellen) of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Dylan Wagner, Jordan Drescher, Taylor Krebs, Adrianna Swearingen (Jared) and Alex Krebs; and her great grandchildren, Henson Swearingen, Sophia Rose and Sis Swisher (Jim).

A fighter until the very end, Kathryn never lost heart during her long battle with Parkinson's Disease, which ultimately took her life.
