It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Wesley Zion of New Philadelphia, Ohio, who passed away on March 8, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley Zion, Sr. and Michalina Happy Zion; and his sister Irene Zion. He is survived by: his wife Georgia Fitch; his children, Cathy Jo Bleininger (Jeff) of New Philadelphia, Debra Sue Douglass of Dover and John M. Zion of New Philadelphia; and his grandchildren, Andy Gray, Katie Standiford (Alex), Kris Bleininger (Tyra), Carrie Calton (Todd), Sean Zion (Shiron), Brittany Myers (Jacob) and Michael Zion. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
At this time, the six-foot rule will be honored and all guests are required to wear a mask to enter the funeral home.
