He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dominic Scopel, Sr. and Grace Elizabeth Heck Scopel; and his sisters, Vicky Bailey and Mary McNutt. He is survived by: his close friend Juanita Ratcliff; his siblings, Felix Scopel (Sue) of Wainwright, Carolyn Scopel of New Philadelphia, Josephine Harding (Dean) of New Philadelphia, Teresa Dunivent of Wainwright, Betty Arnold (Rex) of Sugarcreek and Tim Scopel (Kathy) of New Philadelphia; and his stepchildren, Dawn Feight of Erin, Kimberly Kiser of Dover, Robert Arnder of Columbus and John Arnder of Erin Tennessee. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
