He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Vernon and Dorothy Marie Meese (Gribble); his sons, Richard and Scott Meese; and his brothers, Richard and Gene Meese.
He is survived by: his wife Lorane I. Walton; his children, Robert Meese (Alicia) of Columbia, Cheryl Pedersen (Flemming) of Henderson and Steven Miller (Mary Carol) of San Francisco, California; his daughter-in-law GiGi Meese of Long Beach, California; and his grandchildren, David Meese, Monica Gunther, Alastair, Caitlin Addie, John, Rebekah, Maryanna and Daniel Meese. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
