He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Popham and Janice E. Popham (Powell); his parents-in-law, Felix and Margaret Rybarczyk; and his close friend Mickey.
He is survived by: his wife Linda S. Rybarczyk; his son Robert Phillips (Karen) of Washington; his grandchildren, Lucas and Lily; his daughter Rachel Montero (Tony) of New Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Ciro and Lola; his sister Gale Stull (Jimmy) of New Philadelphia; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Campbell and Louie Rybarczyk. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Linn-Hert Geib Funeral Home & Crematory - New Philadelphia (116 2nd St NE, New Philadelphia, OH 44663). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #4. A memorial service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church (104 3rd St NW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663).
The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Greg's memory to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society.
