He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett F. Roth, Sr. and Christal M. Roth (Killinger); his mother-in-law Theda E. Lawrence; and his brother-in-law James Ronald. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca "Becky" E. Lawrence; his children, Douglas E. Roth (Diane) of Hebron, David E. Roth (Cathy) of Dover and Dale E. Roth (Bill Franke) of Grove City, Ohio; his grandchildren, Elizabeth R. Farrow (Hunter), Johnathan D. Roth and Allison M. Roth; and his siblings, Mona J. Ronald, June A. Squires (Carl), Emmett F. Roth, Jr. and Larry D. Roth (Donna). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
